Sign the Petition! Impeach!

Ok…I’m skeptical of on-line petitions. As a rule, they are pretty worthless. However, Dennis Kucinich has started an official-type petition fot the impeachment of George W. Bush. I don’t think that the petition is good for anything besides showing congress that the people want to see this happen. That said, the will of the people may be what it takes to persuade congress to pursue the charges. So, SIGN IT!!!

  1. Y’know, Kucinich does sorta have a timing problem. People don’t want to talk about Bush anymore. He’s a joke, he’s a cautionary tale, he’s a sad old hasbeen.

I think Kucinich and the people he’d be appealing to might be better off pouring their energy into getting Obama elected. That’s just a more exciting and hopeful use of will-power, you know?

  2. I’m not sure at this point that anything Kucinich can do will draw attention away from Obama. And it’s been said that the impeachment isn’t really about Bush, but rather making people who are protected by Executive Privilege talk. In an impeachment trial, one can’t use Executive Privilige in order to escape testifying. Dennis is trying to get down to the bottom of what really happened after 9/11 that got us into the war, and who is really responsible. And, with all the harm that’s happened since 9-11, I don’t think there’s such a thing as bad timing.

  3. I’m going with amuirin on this, I think Kucinich looks like a boob here. His problem is that he can’t really make them talk, he can get them up there and they can say ‘I have no clear recollection of that, Senator.’ Also unlike with Nixon and the Watergate tapes or even Clinton and Monica’s dress there’s no actual hard evidence yet. Its a circumstantial case. I think in terms of doing detective work on it, find some documents or something, go for it, but Bush is in the lame duck stage and the energy now would be better spent campaigning for Obama if that’s who you like for Preznit.

  4. Andrew Wang Says:

George W. Bush’s sentence-by-sentence speaking skills are deteriorating. Apparently, this may be due to a mental illness called “presenile dementia.” Bush may or may not be secretly still drinking heavily. Bush suffers from narcissism and megalomania. Moreover, Bush has been arrested three times. Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bush was arrested for stealing. Bush was also arrested for a serious crime—driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reasons to believe that Bush suffers from a learning disability. Bush’s learning disability would explain a lot of things. All in all, Bush is a severely mentally ill individual. Bush is not fit to be the president of the United States.
