The Dream Journal

For the record, the last post was a translation/interpretation of this page:

I woke up and wrote it at about 3AM. It seems like part of it is written in Dream Language.

I am the Doctor, and I am fighting the Master in an abandoned (and haunted) house. I defeat him with a sword, and as he dies, he tells me that I was a worthy opponent, and that he respected me, but his next incarnation will not, so I should leave. Teary-eyed, I collect a bunch of his belongings that he wants me to have, and I leave the house.

Before I get the stuff out to the Tardis, I encounter the ghosts of the family that owned the house. Their sadness overwhelms me, and I completely break down. The ghosts are getting angrier and angrier, but I know that they have unresolved issues and are not aware that they are dead.

I decide to talk to the ghosts to let them know they are dead. The song “Old Kentucky Bourbon” by Murder by Death plays as I approach the ghosts, and…

I am reading about this in a magazine about Doctor Who. The article is comparing MY incarnation of the Doctor with the previous ones. I’m sitting on a bench in a hospital where people are being processed. Someone is making a lot of noise, so I decide to go to the 3rd floor, where they keep the schizophrenics. I walk away, yelling to the admitting nurse, “I wasn’t bothering anyone!”

One Week.

It’s spring again, which means the crime in my neighborhood is about to go up.. Just last week, I said to a friend, “Wow…the weather’s really nice. I wonder how long it will take for my neighbors to turn this place into a police station.”

One week. That’s how long.

On Wednesday, I cam home to 3 Sheriff’s cruisers, uniforms everywhere, and some people who were dressed real nice but packing heat. I tried to ignore it and get ready to go for a run, but my curiosity got the better of me, so I asked another neighbor what was going on.

It turns out, one of my neighbors had died of a drug overdose about 4 days earlier, and the people on that side of the building had just started to notice an odor coming from is apartment.

So, yeah. The spring is off to one ghettofabulous start.

Again with the not posting!

Heh. I keep saying I’m returning to this blog, but it doesn’t seem to happen. I have been busy, though. I’ve been writing a ton (literally…I weighed it) of content for To Eleven, and it seems I got a freelance gig! I won’t go into the details, but a company is redesigning their website, and I’m writing the content for it! So I’m back to being a working writing, as well as a writing tutor.

Besides that? Well, last weekend, I drove to Pittsburgh by myself (which, if you know how easily I get lost, you know what a feat that was!) to see one of my favorite bands, Balthrop, Alabama play. It was a great show, and I got to see my old high school friend Chris, who’s in the band. After the show, so that I wouldn’t have to make the 2 1/2 hour drive so late, the band let me crash with them.

That’s about it, really. Well, that and lots of karaoke! In fact, this weekend, my friend James came out to do some karaoke, as well as another high school friend, Marjorie, and her husband, Jason. It was a great time…if anyone ever wants to come out and try it, let me know. I’ll tell you when we’re doing it again!

Well, I’m off to write for this project. I’ll be on here more often, I SWEAR! (Yeah, right.)
